Katia Cardenas grew up in a musical family and has been singing since childhood. Her professional training came largely "on the job," performing throughout high school with her mother's Bay Area bands and collaborating with her Seattle-based father on numerous recording projects. Performing in the Twin Cities is truly a family affair, as both her parents were active in the local scene in the early 80's. Katia has also sung with show bands across the region including the Casablanca Orchestra, Sonically Speaking, and Boogie Wonderland.
