Local jazz and R&B powerhouses Katia Cardenas and Bree Turner share the stage for one stellar evening of compelling vocals.

Bree Turner has been singing for as long as she can remember--singing with family, in Gospel choirs, and doing background vocals with Jamecia and Paris Bennett and Timotha Lanae. She studied at McNally-Smith College of Music, and performed with the high-powered R&B band "MPLS" for five years; the opening band for Mint Condition and later Stokley. She currently sings with Soul Shack, Boogie Wonderland, Blue Water Kings (the region's top wedding band) and has appeared with The Avant Garde, The Rhythmic Circus, Good Vibes Group, Jana Nyberg 5, and many other projects.

Katia Cardenas grew up in a musical family and has been singing since childhood. Her professional training came largely "on the job," recording and performing throughout high school with her musical family. Katia's jazz combo "Katia Cardenas Quartet" recently appeared again at the Twin Cities Jazz Festival. Katia also sings with show bands across the region including the Casablanca Orchestra, Sonically Speaking, Boogie Wonderland and Blue Water Kings.
